I've been thinking about doing this for a while now, but it was rlly my BF who convinced me too.

This is called the Question Game. You comment and ask me a question. It can be anything: funny, humorous, racy, serious, embarrassing, whatever. I have to answer it honestly. The catch is that I get to ask you a question, and you have to answer it also. We go back and forth like that until someone gives up or we get tired of playing.

Ready? Go!

It's not official, it's something myself and my high school friends came up with. You know how the Jedi mind tick makes the police believe this is not the Jedi you are looking for? The Jedi mind crush is a little more . . . forceful. Invasive. As in there's no free will left afterward. Iunno, it just seemed like the sort of thing you'd know how to do.

Do you find it interesting that, despite not having known each other until six months ago, we both came to the conclusion that werewolf-ism is a retrovirus?

Date: 2007-08-17 01:22 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
Well lycanthropy as a retrovirus makes sense. It needs to be able to change the DNA of the victim such that the transformation occurs, is survivable, certain limitations are observed, and it can be passed from one to another through saliva or blood. That is a retrovirus.

Umm... hmm... Can I come up with a better question later, like tomorrow?

Sure. But if you don't come up with one, I win!

Is sex really all that big a deal?

Date: 2007-08-17 04:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
Hey, the asking if I could come up with a question was, in fact, a question. Ha.

Eh. Sex is a lot of fun and produces endorphines and inspires cuddling instincts in the female but it's not the whole big fanfare flower thing the media makes it out to be. Orgasms are nice and yes, I do get bitchy when I haven't had one in a while, but sex as it's usually portrayed is kinda meh.

I mention "sex as it's usually portrayed" because the sex I take part in a bit different. The sex I take part in is more about fun than anything. I get to control a pet and Pet gets things done to him. And if that means hogtying him, strapping a dildo to his face, and humping his head then that's what it means and we both have fun.

But in general, and this applies everywhere, if you're both (or all) having fun and there are orgasms involved somewhere then it usually counts as sex. Rubbing up against each other while fully clothed and you both get off on it, that's a form of sex. And it's pretty damn safe, too.

What kind of "big deal" were you wondering about?

Date: 2007-08-17 11:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Ehm [nervous cough] I'm in my first real relationship now (and rlly liking it, despite the even less free time than usual, which I didn't think was possible) and it's got me thinking about Things. The media makes such a big deal out of virginity and loss thereof, I was wondering if it's really all that painful.

Mind, my gynecologist told me that I would not enjoy sex the first few times, being as, fully relaxing my muscles and with heated lube, it is still uncomfortable. I'm just small, and rlly nervous, and it's going to take some adjustment when I start having sex.

Condoms, spermicidal foam, cervical caps, BC pills, or all of the above?

Date: 2007-08-18 04:05 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
First of all, "heated" lube stings. Just use normal lube and slather it on him. He'll warm it for you in like 5-10 seconds.

My first time kinda hurt not because of stretching but because I don't make a whole lotta natural lube so things scraped. If lube had been used then hurt it would not.

I recommend going kinda slowish. Once things feel good you're not gonna notice pain anyways. In fact the best way to avoid pain is to be good and horny. And not be nervous. It's just a penis, not a big deal or anything.

Media lies. Virginity is not a big deal.

BC pills are the best. Foams irritate like fuck. Cervical caps require 8 hours of prior planning. Condoms scrape but are a good habit to have. All of the above is a stupid idea. If you really feel the need to use more than one thing get those condoms with the spermicide already on them. They scrape and itch but it's the best you'll get w/o BC pills or biological help.

How is it people from Norway have bred so much hotness into their genes?

Date: 2007-08-18 02:59 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
By "heated" I meant normal lube put in a heated cabinet, not self-warming. The Sorority has warned me off the self-warming. And the "pleasantly tingly" condoms.

I rather think I'm still going to be nervous, but as you say, there's a whole range of sex that does not involve girly bits.

Okay, BC pills and condoms. Gotcha.

I have a theory about this. It has to do with the fact that in the two hundred years between 800 and 1000, the weather was warmer and summer was two weeks longer. This made it possible to go a-viking in the summer and still be back for the harvest. So they did. Thus, they got all of their aggression and ugly-barbarian-ness worked out in those two hundred years, and now they are the nicest people you can hope to meet. And full of hotness. Which I don't think is fair at all.

What is your opinion of Castles?

Date: 2007-08-19 07:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
Depends on the castle. There are some really nice ones with, yanno, floors and such. Then there are the ruined ones with no floors.

Fantasy castles are dumb, real still-livable castles are great, the ruined castles are nice because of their history, it's like the crumbled lava flats in the mojave desert. They remind you of stuffs gone by, stuffs that only the land remembers.

All the hotsprings over here either close off because the waters are "dangerous" or charge a buttload for even looking at the water. Do you know where I can get a mudbath without paying $500?

Date: 2007-08-19 11:03 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Israel. Dead sea mud is free. The problem is the cost associated with getting there . . .

Sorry, not helpful.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy?

Date: 2007-08-19 11:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
Hmm. Intriguing idea but Dead Sea mud does involve the getting-there expense. That and Dead Sea mud isn't hot spring mud. Volcano mud! Best mudbaths there are. I refuse to live in a siesmologically active region and not take advantage of it.

Apathy is worse. Ignorance can be cured with knowledge. In apathy the knowledge has already been acquired and the conscious decision to ignore it was made.

Why is it metallic brake pads went out of production? Now there's just organic, semi-organic, and ceramic. Ceramic is great, has saved my life more than once but organic brake pads lead to referring to mountinous regions as "the land of your brakes are on fire".

From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
I . . . don't actually know. I can ask Tracie the Brake Lady tomorrow. I'm sure she will know, she's been doing this job longer than I have been alive. Off the top of my head, I'm going to guess "cost."

Why is it that when I tried to DDR today I got dizzy fast and remained dizzy through my entire shower?

Date: 2007-08-20 12:42 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
Maybe you started DDRing too fast. Or you didn't have enough water or sugar in your system. Or it was stupid hot outside. Any number of reasons works.

If you had to pick... spicy or sweet?

Date: 2007-08-20 01:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
I'm going with low sugar. Seeing as my total consumption for the past twenty-four hours at that point had been a handful of blueberries.

Spicy. Don't get me wrong, I like sweet, but sweet gets boring after a while, whereas there are dozens of different spicies. Thai spicy and Indian spicy and BBQ spicy and Mexican spicy, just to start.

How rare should Beef be?

Date: 2007-08-20 02:44 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lit-master.livejournal.com
Yeah, that would do it.

Beef's "correct" temperature depends on who you ask. 160F to kill E. coli. 140F to kill evil food poisoning. Realistically, 135F is a good "rare" temp, 140F for med-rare, 145F for medium, 150F for well done. 180F for stew meat. 140-150F is a good all-purpose temp for things like stir fry or pasta sauce or stuffs. But technically if you have the garlic for it you could just eat beef raw. It's called steak tartare.

Personally, when going for rare I check for feel and blood flow more than temp. when the blood flows a certain way and it has the right give it's good.

How rare do you like beef to be?

Still mooing, unless it's chaulnt or briscit.

How about you?

Date: 2007-08-20 03:00 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lit-master.livejournal.com
Eh, depends on the cut. I like my steaks just warmed on the inside, cooked just enough to get a great Maillard going on the surface. Hamburgers I like in the med-rare area but ground beef for other purposes I prefer in the 140-150F range. I really despise beef cooked to above 150F because up there it loses all moisture and gets all tough and kinda tasteless and pointless.

What about chicken? Grilled, fried, baked, broiled, braised, or souped?

Date: 2007-08-20 03:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
What a question to ask a Jew. Souped, of course. As in "chicken soup and matzah balls." My mother also does very good rice crispy chicken, though that tends to be a bit dry. Poultry often is, though.

Which animal would you absolutely never eat, no matter how much you were paid?

Date: 2007-08-20 04:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
Eh, poultry is less dry if you know what you're doing. It needs just a little bit of the fat left on it which then melts into things and keeps it not-dry. Like turkey. Basting sucks but if you shove about a stick of butter up under the skin on the breast you can keep almost the entire bird from being dry.

Tarantula, I think. Just because I can't stand picking them up. Other than that if it won't kill me I'll usually eat it.

This is a weird and blasphemous question. Is longpork kosher?

Out of curiosity, why did you want to know?

Morbid curiosity. With extra morbid, I guess. No real reason.

Why is it there are no good movies anymore?

Date: 2007-08-21 12:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
It's your taste in movies. I like happy fluffy funny ones, and the market produces things like shrek and Stardust for me. Whereas you probably like The Ring and the original Creature from the Black Lagoon, and I don't think the market makes bad B-movies anymore . . .

What kind of movies do you like?

Date: 2007-08-21 04:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lachattenoire13.livejournal.com
In general I like intelligently done movies. For instance I liked Shrek but felt Shrek 3 tried too hard. I am fond of the old movies like the original The Blob, Bela Lugosi's work, and the original Creature from the Black Lagoon. I prefer my movie to have a story in it or at least some history behind it but in addition it also has to be well made.

Which in this day and age usually means WWII movies, well-made historicals, and modern-day Chinese and Thai films. Japanese film is a whole nother animal and one that I tend to not like as much if only for the sheer amount of anime influence in it.

...but then sometimes you're just in the mood to watch Bruce Willis blow up a helicoptor using a car.

And hey, the market makes bad B movies all the time. Peter Jackson was the New Zealand king of bad B movies before LOTR. And the Baldwins come out with new movies every month, all of them low budget bad B movies.

Does Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon count as a Chinese soap?

(Hah! Answered the question with a question!)

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is a mediocre Chinese film. Its main redeeming quality in the eyes of the masses is the awesome stunts. Feh, if I wanted awesome stunts I'd pick up any Thai film there is.

So you've never seen a real Chinese soap opera?

Not that I know of, then, no.
