I've been thinking about doing this for a while now, but it was rlly my BF who convinced me too.

This is called the Question Game. You comment and ask me a question. It can be anything: funny, humorous, racy, serious, embarrassing, whatever. I have to answer it honestly. The catch is that I get to ask you a question, and you have to answer it also. We go back and forth like that until someone gives up or we get tired of playing.

Ready? Go!

They don't enjoy the eating them so much as the playing with them beforehand and watching them try to scurry away. Because cats are mean bastards like that.

But they make nice noises hen they are happy.

Are you ever going to give me the Icon of Science?

Kitty-purring is one of the best noises ever.

I am indeed - the reason I haven't is mostly because through an odd series of events I'm not able to use the computer that I use on the weekends during the week. Of course, me being me, I forgot to upload it somewhere where I could access it from any computer, so... I shall upload it tonight and hopefully it'll be to your liking.

Why is actually completing a story so much harder than starting one?

Date: 2007-08-20 03:23 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Whoot!

Because plotbunnies aren't really. They're more like ideabunnies. If you have the entire plot outlined before or shortly after you start, it's much easier. It also helps to have people like my Emmylove to provide Crack!musing when the bunnies get tired.

Which time zone are you in?

Date: 2007-08-20 06:17 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Aaah... well, that makes a lot of sense. I think I need a Crack!muse of my very own now...

I am in the Mountain Standard Time time zone. It's cool because it has mountain in the name.

Where are you?

Date: 2007-08-20 08:57 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Yes, everyone should have a Crack!muse.

I'm in Eastern. I have at least one LJ-friend in every US time zone (excepting Hawaii and Alaska =P), cool!

Why won't it stop raining?

Date: 2007-08-21 05:01 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Hawaii and Alaska are kinda overrated anyways.

It won't stop raining because of some scientific issue - that, or, y'know, the world's ending. One of the two.

Why is there a disembodied plastic hand next to my computer?

Date: 2007-08-21 11:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Because Thing died and, in that weird Addams family way, they plasticized him instead of just burying him. How his corpse ended up next to your computer is a different story altogether . . . O.o

What is your opinion of ninja pirates?

Date: 2007-08-21 11:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Aah... I see. Mm. Some things are better left unsaid, I suppose...

Ninja pirates? Well, they're all well and good, but I have to wonder; when are they going to start representing the ninja zombie pirate populace? Somebody needs to do something about them soon....

Do you want/have any tattoos, and if so, what do they look like?

From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
I have none and I want none. Needles in my skin, eww!

Do you have an AIM?

From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
I do indeed have an AIM. SpookyPirateHat.

What is your opinion on the proliferation of elves in fantasy stories?

Date: 2007-08-22 01:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Good. If you are on tonight (after I do The Cooking) I shall definitely poing you.

Overdone. I mean, Tinkerbelles was bad enough, but then things like LotR have to go turn them into "happy peaceful forest-dwelling immortals" when anyone who knows anything at all knows that they are nasty. And to always carry iron when facing them . . .

What about the Puck?

Date: 2007-08-22 06:37 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Good old iron, keeping people safe for generations in some form or other...

What about the Puck? He is awesome. Was my favorite character in Gargoyles for a long time.

Date: 2007-08-22 08:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
The Puck is indeed awesome, but I did not mean the Gargoyles Puck (who, BTW, is my fav Gargoyles char hands down). I meant the Robin Goodfellow from the the play.

Gargoyles: it encouraged kids to read Shakespeare!

Have you ever read Sandman?

Date: 2007-08-23 12:42 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Robin Goodfellow, eh? It's been a while since I've actually read through the play, but I still liked him nonetheless, if only for the Gargoyles connotations. I'll be able to give a better answer, considering the drama club I am now a part of will be putting A Midsummer Night's Dream on very soon.

I have indeed read Sandman... well, most of it. I got the collection thingy and then one of my friends stole it for the same purpose I got it; to read. I suppose I'll get it back someday...

What should I ask about now?

Date: 2007-08-23 12:59 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Sandman's Puck is awesome too . . .

I don't know. What Thing about me do you want to know?

Date: 2007-08-23 01:05 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Hm. I'm not quite sure. Um...

Apart from Hot Gay Porn, what is your favorite genre of literature?

Date: 2007-08-23 01:09 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Sci-fi/Fantasy. I read as a form of escapism, why would I want anything literary?

Date: 2007-08-23 01:16 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Eh, true. Sci-fi/Fantasy is always good.

Heard of NaNoWriMo?

Date: 2007-08-23 01:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Heard of, but unfortunately for the next four years I will be in the middle of rush terms every November. No good for doing anything other than class, homework, eating, and sleeping :|

Besides which, hitting 50K words isn't hard. It's hitting 50K words with a viable plot/story.

How about you? Do you plan to NaNo?

Date: 2007-08-23 01:37 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
I plan to NaNo every year and then either I'm struck by rogue plotbunnies, a boredom demon, hit a wall or just generally forget about it. I've never been successful which pisses me off. Perhaps I will be able to use one of my many ridiculous story ideas this year and stay interested... like the four-horsemen-having-to-recruit-a-woman-because-of-affirmative-action thing...

Any advice on actually sticking with something? I've got a procrastination problem...

Date: 2007-08-23 01:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
Get a Crack!muse. They are the answer to many writing problems. [hugs Emmylove] Also, have someone to bounce ideas off of (separate from your beta) who will poke you to write.

I procrastinate too.

How does one fail to procrastinate?

Date: 2007-08-23 01:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Probably by being a Type A personality. That, or they're putting off procrastinating.

Let's think about that for a moment.

Favorite type of food?

Date: 2007-08-23 11:03 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
That is indeed a wonnerful statement right thar.

Oooh, that's a tough one. I'm not sure, I think it depends on my mood. When I'm pissed, I like sweet things. When I'm mellow, mild stews are good. I like spicy things most of the time . . .

What is your hobby?

Date: 2007-08-23 06:18 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] trenchcoatkid.livejournal.com
Oosh. Hobby? I have to choose just one?

Drawing, I suppose, being as I haven't turned into a drawing machine capable of churning out drawing after drawing regardless of my emotions (when I get upset I draw creepy things >.> ).

What do you think of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

(oh also this is your icon of Science. I dunno if you found it when I uploaded it, soooo... here it be.)

Date: 2007-08-23 07:26 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tanarill.livejournal.com
I can't draw. If I need drawing done, I generally exchange drabblage for it . . . =P

I never really watched it, and I try not to form opinions about things I haven't seen/done enough to form an informed opinion. I have to say that the idea sounds like it would take a talented team of writers to pull off, given the prevalence of overdone vampires in contemporary fiction.

(Can you slow it down a bit? I like the piccus, but it's seizure-inducing for sure!)
