At, believe it or not, K-mart. I mean, normally I don't shop there, but the shopkeeper an Meijer told me try it, so I did. And they had the exact thing I was looking for, so w00t!
scribe_protra though it would be a good idea if I were to share this with you. I feels right, or at least mostly right, but when my Bahama-bunnies come back they may tell me to revise it, and I will.

The demon in hear heart loved her.
This was a fact that had escaped her for almost thirty thousand years before he had managed, though sheer pigheaded persistence, to convince her of this fact. Even then, it had taken an age for her to trust him completely, but now it was implicit, a deeply ingrained part of her, that when the demon in her heart said “Down!” she got down.
“The demon in my heart,” she said to the powerful-child-powerful not-human before her, “is telling me to trust you. Why is the demon in my heart telling me to trust you? He never trusts anybody. Ever.”
“I’m that sexy?” suggested the child-too-old.
“Like a brick to the head,” she agreed. “But no. That’s not it. He says that you were what I am not. That you have had . . . a demon in the mind? And that there is an angel in your heart. Oh, and the angel in my mind is screaming bloody murder at you but the angel in my mind screams bloody murder at anyone who isn’t an angel and a lot of people who are.” She added, as an afterthought, “I don’t listen to her, ever, and neither should you.”
“An angel?” Dan’s mind was processing, but it lagged a few seconds behind the woman’s mouth.
She smiled, almost apologetically. “Well, she says she is, and I’ve never been able to disprove it. But her attitude is very . . . holier-than-thou, and the problem is, angels are holier than just about everybody.”
“An angel in my heart?” clarified Dan.
“Oh. Yes. The one in my head doesn’t like her, because . . . well, that’s unusual. Jealousy is unbecoming in an angel.” Dan got the distinct impression that she wasn’t talking to him right then. “Because she’s not as pure, stick-to-the-letter-of-the-law angelic, but she’s better at what she does. And she’s younger, too.” Heres Tanarill blinked, and then blinked again. “You manifested her?”
“Er. Yes?” said Dan.
“The demon who rode with her must have been horrendous.”
It took Dan a moment to realize she meant Faux. “I killed him.”
For some reason, he couldn’t have said why, he expected the demon she said was in her heart–“He’s there,” said Pas, but in an almost friendly way, which was odd since it was a demon–to attack him for it, and that was pity since he didn’t want to kill this person. For one, she was just too interesting. But instead, what he clearly heard although not through his ears, was voice like ground marble say, “Good.”
“He talks to you?” blinked Heres Tanarill. “You are unusual. And since it seems I’m stuck here for a while, you might as well tell me about yourself. If nothing else, it’ll annoy the timekeeper.”
Annoying Clockwork and learning who the hell this woman was and why Pas seemed to like her so much, even with or perhaps because of a demon living in her heart?
Dan was sold.

Look! A normal friendship for Daaaaaaaaaaan. Well, as normal as things get when it's Dan and the friend in question is Heres Tanarill. But normal-ish.
Other things I did today:
Went to the Bloomfield Township Library and picked up the first three volume of PoH, all they had. It is Gay, with a capital G. And very good.
Cooked dinner. It was this Indian thing with fish and veggies and yogurt sauce. And then we had Incredibly Caloric Dessert. 'Twas delicious.
Laundry. Lots of it.
Oh, and will everyone give a kind welcome to
otakudjr, who is my pervert. Yes, Emmy, you can stop snickering now.
