I went to Kzoo for the long weekend. For those of you who do not know, I have a Boy there. He's very sweet, and plays video games like a mad, universe-conquering hero.

Today was a Monday even though it as in fact a Tuesday, but that isn't what I'm going to talk about. Instead, I'm going to talk about how all my plotbunnies have abandoned me but only while in front of the computer. If I write it out by hand, I can suddenly write whatever. The issue is that I have the time to do this at work . . . and mostly it is NSFW. Woe is me.

Oh. Another Jewish thing. Today was Tu Bi'Shvat (too-BEE-shvaht). It is probably spelled differently. Going back to the concept that each letter has a numerical value, we come to the term Tu Bi'Shvat. It is actually a lot like Lag B'Omer. The Tu part of Tu Bi'Shvat is the letters for nine and six, which you add to make fifteen. Why not the letters for ten and five? Because those letters in that order spell one of the real names of God, which you aren't allowed to use.

The Bi is pretty much the same as the Ba in B'Omer, and in Hebrew is spelled the same way, and pronounced differently only because of a linguistic shift in the last two thousand years. Shvat is a month. So it is the fifteenth day of the month, which is a holiday. This particular holiday is an Ancient Environmentalist holiday, which can be summed up as: Arbor Day for Jews. You plant trees. You plant vegetables. You eat pomegranates. That's pretty much it.

I went and worked for Gigantic Car Company today.
