Because it Isn't Sunset Yet

Today is still the ninth day of the Omer.
Jews count days sunset to sunset. Which is to say, tomorrow starts at sunset today. Thus, I have been counting off the Omer based on which day it was then, as measured by sunsets. I already counted the ninth day last night, but since it's still light out here, it's not the tenth day yet.
Title: ASRPxGO 8
Fandoms: GO, (C) Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, niether of whom are sainted. DP (C) Butch Hartman, who only thinks he's been sainted
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Happily gay threesome being cute
He might not have been God, but if he wasn’t, he was so close to it that Crowley couldn’t tell the difference.
He was also serving tea.
Aziraphale was sitting next to him, back ramrod straight and face beet red. Clockwork had walked into the room and he’d started going through all the motions; Crowley himself found his own limbs twitching, although in his case it was to make the Black Signs. Clockwork, holding the tea tray, had looked at them both and he spake thusly:
“Stop that. If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s people groveling.”
“Er–” began Aziraphale. Metaphorically, he’s always been in God’s light but this was the first time he’d ever actually been in His presence and wasn’t quite sure what to do about it.
“I mean, every time I try to talk to someone, it’s ‘I’m sorry’ this and ‘forgive me’ that and ‘I’m not worthy’–”
“–just like those miserable Psalms,” chimed in Dan cheerfully. “They’re so depressing.”
Which was when Crowley realized what, exactly, they were quoting. “So, they were an act of God?”
Clockwork gave him a smile. Enigmatic. It lasted until the point when Dan slid up behind him and groped him. Freakshow gave Aziraphale a look that plainly said, “Yes, I know. And I live with them.” Then he took the tray from Clockwork and set it on the table, freeing up Clockwork and Dan for an impromptu make-out.
Aziraphale was quite pointedly ignoring the fact that, once Clockwork had managed to get Dan to sit on the couch opposite, mostly by sitting on him, it had degenerated into a contest to distract one another, and the fact that Dan was winning was more than a little disturbing. Freakshow was leaning against Dan, which was partially distracting him enough for God to serve the tea.
Beside him, Aziraphale made a choked off noise of intense embarrassment.
Crowley repressed a snicker. The entire dynamic was so surreal, and yet he could not only imagine this being the god who had almost allowed Armageddon, but knew he would now have trouble imagining it as anyone else.
God was in fact male, gay, and going out with Dan.
Although, as I write this, I realize that Dan and Clockwork haven't ever actually gone on a date. The same applied to Freakshow. I feel that this ought to be changed, once this Sue thing is over.

Date: 2007-04-12 06:00 pm (UTC)But can't you just see CW as the kind of god who would totally let not-Armageddon happen just to teach Adam a lesson? And everyone else, of course.
