So, this weekend was that annual Sekrit Black and Midnight Sorority Sleepover. I am not allowed to tell you what sekrit black and midnight things we did, so I shall just say that The Secret Life of Bees, while lacking very much about bees, is still a Very Good Movie.

Then I went home to get food. This weekend was the unveiling for my Aunt Ethel. So we did an unveiling, and read that portion of Ecclesiastes. You know, the one about sowing and reaping and living and dying. And then we visited my maternal grandparents, who are buried in the same cemetery and after one of whom I am named.

Now I'm going to hit y'all up for some monies. Go here and, if you want, give some money. As I can tell you from personal experience, every single one of those heartwarming success stories, about people who got the operation and whose organs were replaced, carries a price tag of about $1,000,000. That's not money that goes to research, that's money that goes to just saving these people now. Or, to put it another way, my college raises enough money annually to pay for the anesthesiologist in one life saving operation. So please, if you can afford to, give a little. Thank you.

Today is the twenty-fifth day of the Omer, which is three weeks and four days into the Omer.
