tanarillSo, on the occasion that he is going to LA, labmate Steve will drive me home since it is in the right direction. The first time, this thing happened:
Me: And now you turn right. The speed limit here is 55.
Steve: Okay.
[conversation]
Me: Turn left here. Oh, and the speed limit is now 35. Follow that, too, this is a speed trap.
Steve: Right. [drives over wash]
Police: [driving the opposite direction]
Steve: . . . you're good.
Indeed I am, Steve. Indeed, I am.
