Actually, I went to my place-of-polling at 9:20 this morning, and there was a line out the door and around the corner. This made me happy :). Last weekend, and the weekend before that, I had done my civic duty and read up on the candidates, their policies and voting records, as well as other measures which were on the ballot this time around. So I voted informedly, and got a sticker.

It is amazing how you can motivate grown adults with a sticker.

Anyway, if you live in the US and have such credentials as you can vote, go do it. It is a privilege and a responsibility, the cost of living in a democracy. Plus they will give you a sticker.

A stupid registration mix-up had trooping down the courthouse, and I had to vote on the spot. The County Clerk's office didn't have stickers! *pouts*
