Premeditated Homocide Bike-path Wars!
Sep. 24th, 2011 02:16 amAs I previously mentioned, most of the people at UCSB bike around. I had not realized until today that this is a sport. As near as I can tell, the rules are:
1. Block as many people as possible from entering the circle intersection.
2. Block people from leaving the circle where they want to.
3. Points for ignoring stop signs.
4. Points for ignoring pedestrians.
5. Points for making traffic grind to a screeching halt.
6. Extra points for causing other bikers to loose control of their bike.
7. All points will be lost, if you are the victim.
In other news, I had my first class today. We learned about cone-snail venom, which is fantastically poisonous stuff. Also, full of interesting nonstandard amino acids and post-transcriptional modifications, and therefore good for learning about nonstandard amino acids and post-transcriptional modifications. I think I will enjoy this :D
