I ought to update, but my life just now is dull, dull, dull. Even explosions no longer phase me.

On Sunday, I went to the Camarillo Street Fair and Fiesta. It was a street fair, with unhealthy (and unKosher!) food, and a few rides of the extremely tame variety, and also booths. Had I been with MW, I'd have been seriously looking for a purse. But I was not, so I walked around, got all sweaty, bought an overpriced ice tea, walked around some more, and left.

Yesterday, Panda's former personal PA* was in the area. Kimberly has left her former position and is now some kind of traveling organizational magic-worker. Since she liaises with a company that is quite close to where we live, we go out to eat with her whenever she is in town. She was kind of down for reasons of Family Drama, but liberal application of alcohol and chocolate and good company may have helped some. Plus Panda got to get all his juicy car-people gossip. (Truefax: in the tiny world of Diesel-architecture engines, everyone knows everyone else. No exceptions.) So I hope she feels better now.

Tonight for dinner I made a curry thing by adding fish (frozen) and vegetables (also frozen) to a sauce made out of coconut milk (canned) and curry paste (in a jar). It was easy. And fast. And delicious. So I will do that again.

*Panda, when he worked at Large and Evil Car Corporation, was overworked. Instead of hiring a new engineer, they gave him this PA, who is Kimberly and never Kim. It worked kind of. But we like Kimberly, and it is not her fault that LECC was too cheap to hire the engineer they actually needed.

Even when your life is boring, it's interesting. :O

I don't know about alcohol, but chocolate fixes everything. :D

Bad Large and Evil Car Corporation! BAD! Cutting corners always comes back to bite you! Always!

Post about your boring life. We can be boring-life buddies! 8D

I don't really like alcohol, it tastes ick and the effect it has on me is to cause me to seek out the nearest horizontal surface and pass out, but I hear that it takes the edge off. Of course, then you run the risk of being addicted . . .

Well, the Panda and Kimberly both left, and now they are begging both to return. So, yes. I agree. One of the things Panda and I both like about the company we now work at is that they hire the right people for the job. It can take them quite a long time to find the correct person, but at least they look. I am looking at you, LECC!

But it would get repetitive very quickly... Oh, well, I can't say no to a proposal of buddy-dom! :D

I don't like alcohol either -I've only had a sip of what was some lemon-y thing, and a sip of red wine; the first one felt like swallowing acid and the second one was meh, nothing spectacular-, but I suspect I'd get sick if I tried to drink a full glass of pretty much anything.

Hey, have I told you about the time that I ate too much chocolate and my liver stopped for almost a day and I had to skip school and I thought I would die and so I decided to never ever push my luck with my internal organs, or any part of my body for that matter, ever again? That's one of the reasons why I'd rather not give something taxing on the liver, like alcohol, a try. D: Plus celiac disease making it risky depending on what they've made the beverage from. And how every year I hear on the news about the tons and tons of liters of adulterated alcohol disguised as legitimate brands the authorities found this time... D: x 2

That sounds like an awesome company. The employees are what make a company. They shouldn't just take them for granted.

Your liver stopped? Honey, if it had stopped you'd be dead. Some of the cells suffered severe perforation, so the liver enzymes weren't in the liver doing things they needed to, but it can't possibly have stopped. That's not really survivable.

Good on you! Keeping healthy is a good idea, although I've never really heard of crap-disguised-as-alcohol, unless we're talking that group in India that was selling methanol to add kick (and death!)to their drinks? But, yeah, stay away from bad badness :D

asdgihndsk since it wasn't doing its work I just assumed that's what had happened.

Thank you for the correction, now I won't make a fool of myself if I tell other people in the future. XD

They were mixing it with methanol. I... I don't know why. D:

That is how semi-homemade is meant to work. It took about 30 minutes, start to finish, and that is including the rice. 8D

why don't you post the recipe ?
