So, this week so far, I have: broken two thermocouples, broken eight gaskets, broken a heater, rebuilt my rig four times, and replaced half the fittings (including a not!broken thermocouple which Would Not Seal). I finally seem to have a not!leaking, heating rig which can produce either a steady pressure with a moving temperature gradient, or a steady temperature with a moving pressure gradient. Either way, it seems to work again \o/

Today is usually Go Club, but due to a dearth of available vehicles, not this week. See, today Panda is flying out to New York by way of Chicago, where he will attend a wedding, followed by flying back Friday. This took the beetle-green car. JJ is in school until ~10 PM, and he has Knossos, the Taurus. MW has been working lots; the place that hired her has about a month of backlogged dietitian work, and she feels obligated to clear it out. She has the Bluesmobile. That is all the cars we own, and none are here. So no Go tonight.

Instead, I give you an update on my situation. Yey.

*laughing* Sounds like you had to deal with ALL the broken things this week. Oh Dear! Also, you talking aboug GO club make me want to pick up Hikaru no Go again. The Power of Go, as experienced by a boy and his pet ghost.

I broke all the things c.c

XD Yeah. TBH, that is how I got into Go in the first place. There are a lot of good fics in that fandom.

Now that's sort of ridiculous. Are these old things? Or poorly maintained things? Or things that actually break down more often than the average person is led to believe? Because, wow. o_o

Go! Well, at least there is next week? I've been too lazy to play Go, or anything even remotely intellectually challenging for that matter, these days, sorry. :(

Not particularly old or poorly maintained. They are not supposed to break this much, but I suspect they are also not made to operate at supercritical temperatures and pressures, so it's a trade-off. I ought to disclaim all the gasket-breaking with the fact that gaskets are a disposable part of the rig, and every single time I open the rig I have to put another four in.

Yus, next week. And don't feel bad, I often feel like that too :>

Break ALL THE THINGS! \o

Ok, bad idea. But, at least you're testing their equipment!

YES! 8D

With all this talk of testing, I am starting to feel a bit villainous. Maybe I should bake a cake.
