Good News, Everyone!

Panda has a job.

This is good news because Panda, who previously worked for Large Car Company (as opposed to Gigantic Car Company, for which I work) took a buyout and has been unemployed since December. It was a generous buyout, though. He got 90% salary for six months, plus $25,000 worth of car. That is to say, Ahnold, our overpowered hemi.

The bad, or semi-bad depending on your perspective, is that the job is in Camarillio, California. This is a little ways north of LA, which means he is moving to SoCal. MW, JJ, and I are not; I have two more years of college, and JJ has his senior year of high school. It would be incredibly unfair to put him in a new school for that, plus we have Heard Bad Things about education in Cali, so no.

I will miss my Panda.

In other, totally unrelated news, we had a dish made mostly of peas for dinner tonight. The insides of peas. It was, to quote the man, "violently green." It also had a roasted habanero, which did not make it nearly as hot as one might expect. :9
