Autumn!

It's illegal to rake your leaves into a pile and set them on fire, but the smell of this occurrence is a vital part of fall. Otherwise, it's just that time of year when days get shorter and leaves turn yellow and come off the tree and it gets colder.

So I was delighted to find, when I woke up today, that someone had gone and been illegal and therefore fall has arrived.

I love fall. I'm an October birth, and days with more than twelve hours of sun always seem a bit off to me. So fall means everything is right. Soon it will be time to exhaust meself and get blisters while raking. And then! All Hallow's!

So, whee, yays. It is Autumn.

I love fall too! Although... the chill and the smell in the air only serves to remind me that I need to work on my halloween costume...
