Near what I hope is the middle, he has a really big angst fest because he knows he should tell his family about the Fenton halfas (when does he find out about the halfas, anyway?) but really, really likes Jazz. And does not want to make her Angry At Him. And then . . . well, the point is that unlike the GiW, the Family does recognize that not all supernatural is bad.
