It turns out, yesterday, that I spoke much too soon. The girl from the room next door came over to talk.
It turns out she is bipolar, on meds, and at some point in the past was suicidal. Also, she agrees that I should not be hearing her have sex, and we have worked out a Sekrit Code for 'you are being too loud I can hear you.' So that's good.
I shall see if we can become friends.
