AKA, rapid-fire posting month :D
So, next week I shall be going to a paid lunch at the faculty club with a visiting professor. Really good free food. I have to recruit a few people to go with; but we're all starving grad students, so it should not be too hard.
Today was long. My bacteria have apparently spontaneously lost the ability to live in ampicillin, even though I know for a fact that they have the ampicillin resistance gene. Weird.
Also, I am crap at the radiation assay. At least, I wasn't very good, but this was my first time, so it is a thing to work on. Now we have to more enzyme, so the next thing will be to purify some out next week. It will be fun, and a new thing I have never done before. So there is that.
And it is almost the end of fourth week! How did that happen?!
