So, I relocated to Flint. Then it started to snow. Ye gads I hate the weather here. (Panda was smug, as he is moving to Cali, where people ae crazy but at least the weather is nice.)
Classes this term are:
Analytical chemistry. It appears that it is mostly about how to choose the correct experiment/process for whatever it is you are trying to do. This is a balancing act between cost, time, and throughput. The amazing thing was, I walked out of the class and felt like I had learned something! \o/
Human biology. It is with Prof. A, whom I have had before. She said that it will not be a grade booster, but she said it to a room full of MEs and IEs, with a few EEs and business majors thrown in for luck. These are people who do no understand what a 'polar molecule' is, much less how to identify them. It looks like a repeat of the last half of Biochem and a class I took in eighth grade. I feel this will be easy.
Genetics. But out teacher, Monsy, was not there for she was dealing with her very young daughter, who was sick. (Srsly. She left for the last two weeks of last spring term to go have this kid.) From the assessment, it looks like this is going to involve Mendel and Punnett Squares, as well as some stuff about sex-link'd genes, and problems that come from having three X-chromosomes. Not hard stuff.
The last class is masterpieces of literature, but the textbooks involve Kafka. Kafka was not a literary master; Kafka was insane. And lonely. I mean, we could have been reading The Count of Monte Cristo or Pride and Prejudice or the Spring and Autumn Chronicles! And instead we will be reading Kafka. But I will tell you more once I have met the man.
Passover tomorrow!
