So, I still cannot make choco chip cookies. But I can make M&M cookies, because MW bought lots of M&Ms. And gum.
The reason she bought these, as far as I can tell, is to sabotage the athletic performance of the Macabe Games competitors who will be staying with us. Macabe Games are like amatuer not-Olympics for Jewish youth. Detroit hosts this year, and so we are being a host family. We will get an extra three boys between the ages of thirteen and seventeen for a couple of weeks. Because we need more testosterone in this house.
Also, because the parents will be wedding-going during the kickoff ceremony, I get to chauffeur these kids around and cheer my brother on. I even have a shirt. It says 'Host Family.' Go me.
Oh well. It beats camping, which I am not doing because I hate nature, unless I'm observing it from a safe distance in an air-conditioned or at least shady location.
