Period ended Sometime between 8 PM on Wednesday and 10.20 AM on Thursday. Did nothing for how horny I am. Guys, be grateful that you don't have to deal with this shit.

I am an occasional reader of the Birdchick Blog. (Warning, this blog is picture heavy, always.) The Birdchick is one of these people who could have lost her virginity on a deflating air mattress in a tent in the middle of the woods that was pitched on anthill and still enjoyed it, because she's very much a Nature Person. Yes, she does know her birds on sight and by sound, but she also knows her native vs. invading fauna, keeps her own bees, owns Disaproving Rabbits, and can identify edible mushrooms. This last is what I wish to discuss.

I'm not a Nature Person. In my opinion, Nature ought to be observed from a safe distance, behind glass, and with heating or AC, depending on outside temperature. Webcams optional. Nevertheless, because I read the Birdchick Blog, I saw an interesting set of photos about Inky Caps. So I was walking back from Sociology on Thursday (more about this in a moment) and I spot some Inky Caps. I know that they are because they've already begun to autodigest. Which is somewhat sad . . . because geeks should not be able to identify edible mushrooms on sight.

On to Sociology. The teacher, as I have said, is great. The class has now achieved his level of awesome. Any class in which we have back-to-back forty-minute discussions on whether marijuana should be legal (yes) and whether sex ed ought to be taught from first grade on (also yes) rates. We then spend the next half hour talking about whether a blow job counts as sex (yes) and if the US should be preaching abstinence rather than safe sex (no), given that we have sex in the same numbers as our Swedish counterparts yet are six hundred times more likely to have an STD. Sometime in there, we also talked about cell phone tech, bandwidth, number of prisoners per hundred thousand, and Swift's "Modest Proposal." Like I said, this class rocks, even if we are all nuts here.

There were supposed to be fireworks on Thursday, but the freezing rain kinda scuttled that plan. They were delayed to Friday, but I was of course here at home by sunset on Friday.

Yesterday involved me reading on how to crystallize things. When you next see me online, plz remind me to contact MW's cousin about the Nexium.

Today I have Things to do, which I am avoiding doing. Go me!
