It did not shake me up too badly, but it was a Thing I thought ought to be shared.
I doubt there had been any physical abuse, before we got there; at least, no one showed any signs of it. But emotional abuse is still abuse. It is hard when you don't speak the language of the argument . . .
And yes, yey for living in a place where that is recognized and where police respond to it.
