I just got my hands on a copy of I Shall Wear Midnight. I'm in that post Pratchett-binge haze. Without spoilers:

No, it isn't as funny. You can tell it as written by a man who knows he is dying.

Yes, it is thoughtful. Ditto above.

The solution really is education, but per the presentation yesterday, I feel there is another step. That step being, practical education. Not everyone needs to know, or can possibly care, about plate tectonics. It is vitally important that everyone know about things like germs and the problem with believing everything you hear (or see on TV, or read in a book) . . .

Plus, there were Feegles. Yay Feegles! ^_^
